Awesome village pub. Excellent service from Roy and team, and at a decent price point. 2 roast beef dinners, pint and a large red wine for £28. Absolutely fantastic. Great with dogs too!

Called here on our way to holiday park. Very rainy night but a lovely warm welcome and the food was incredible. Like being at home for nice home cooked food and such good portions too. Staff all lovely and welcoming. Would definitely recommend. Looking forward to going back to try the breakfast out

Cannot praise this visit highly enough. Landlady and chefs were welcoming and friendly. They have a Sunday carvery and the food was really good. Three meats, plenty of vegetables and accompaniments all perfectly cooked. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Just had Christmas lunch here. The food was well cooked and delicious. The service was excellent. The staff are so attentive and friendly. Even better was the Christmas special for pensioners. Half price. I would highly recommend this place.

This place will never win any Michelin stars, however the staff were very friendly and helpful, and couldn't do enough for my dog and baby. The food was basic but nice and plentiful. The only criticism I have it there were no hand pump on for the beers, but there was an IPA that was pleasant enough.

Had Sunday lunch in the carvery, service was great, staff welcoming and polite. I had a large meal which meant I got all 3 meats that were on offer, on the day I was there they were serving roast beef, toast Turkey and roast ham. Each piece of meat was a slab, rather than a slice, and all tasted fantastic, particularly the ham. Veggies were all great and roast potatoes and Yorkshire puds were too. All finished with a really tasty gravy. Two carvery meals and two drinks for £25, good value for money. We'll definitely be going back.

We arranged a funeral wake and from start to finish everything was absolutely perfect. From booking, arranging food to the actual day it was very professionally done. Staff couldn't do enough, constantly bringing through further supplies of food, tea and coffee, they never stopped all afternoon. Plenty of tables and chairs for everyone, made it a very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere from start to finish. We stayed overnight and it was a lovely warm comfortable night made even better by the adjacent kitchenette with everything there you might need. We give you 10/10 and would highly recommend to others.

The menu looks limited in the way it's laid out, but some nice options. But don't judge the quality of the food on the menu presentation. I had the chicken burger and it was easily one of the best I've had from a pub. Homemade chips and coleslaw was a 10/10 for me. Staff were friendly and welcoming and for a Sunday afternoon it was quiet, relaxing and peaceful.
